With the sun making a rather long appearance in the UK over the past few weeks, I like many have been struggling with the heat. Fear...

Excellent Tea & Coffee I visited over the weekend with my partner. We met a really lovely woman who was very fun to chat with, we bought the organic coffee and some organic detox tea and my god they are so good! We are loving the coffee in the morning but the tea is just amazing, peppermint with orange and nettle etc! Great shop with lots of different blends tea & coffee. This is a great place to visit. If you love a cup of tea please try the Organic Detox Tea!! So refreshing!

I've been known to walk all the way from Bristol to Bath. The first place I call on is Gillards, whereupon I'll buy some gu'vnors blend tea. I'll sit in the royal crescent with my flask of hot water and brew up a cuppa whilst I wistfully daydream of the time when only the gentry got to taste tea such as this. A real gem of tea merchants.

We have been buying tea from Gillards for over 10 years. Beautiful hand blends and single estate teas. I wouldn’t shop for tea anywhere else.

An absolutely delightful little tea shop! The Household blend makes the best cup-of-tea I've had, and now I buy all my tea from Gillards.

We have been buying the best quality teas from Gillard’s for 15 years now. A proper cup of tea is a true mini joy and so is the passion of all the staff at this Bath institution. Towns change but I hope this place never does.

Although we now live in Trowvegas we occasionaly venture into the big City of Bath. By happy accident we came across Nikki and Tracy who were patient, helpful, incisive and quite frankly delightful. So good was the tea and coffee purchased that we returned during the Coronation and took advantage to buy more whilst the hordes watched the event on the television. Genuinely, if you want to awaken your taste for all things lovely spend a few minutes with these two; it will be time well spent. English breakfast tea, Guv’nors Blend, Fireside Brew and the Russian Caravan blends are fabulous; I can’t remember the house type coffee blend but they will advise and steer you in the right direction doing so with warmth and humour.

Found this delightful stall after enjoying afternoon tea in Bath. The hotel served 'Bath City Blend' tea which is a special blend for hard water areas. We liked the tea so much and we also live in a hard water area, so we Googled where we could buy some and found Gillards of Bath. We dashed across to the Guildhall market (arriving 5 mins before closing!) They had the blend in stock and we bought 250g of it. We've tried some this evening and it's delicious. We'll be buying more through their website when we run low. A delightful stall with a wide choice and friendly, helpful service. Highly recommended if you're looking for some special tea blends to treat yourself.

Absolutely loved chatting with Nikki at her tea shop in Bath. I don't know much about English tea, but Nikki explained her most popular blends, how to brew them, and proper technique. She was truly a joy to talk to. If you're in Bath, stop by Gillards and pick up a couple of bags of tea!
